Bangkok Nightlife | The Other Side of Bangkok
Bangkok Thailand becomes a completely different city at night. When the sun sets, a whole other set of characters come out. You get to experience an entirely different side of the city.
When you are in Bangkok city, your trip wouldn’t be complete without exploring it at night. If you do, you miss out on the following:
- Bangkok Nightlife
Bangkok nightlife is wild and a ton of fun. The city is known for its nightclubs, and there are plenty to choose from. If you are into electronic music, then head to Live RCA Club (located on Rama 9 Rd.) where the most renowned international DJs drop the beat. If you are craving some Thai cocktails, then Route 66 Nightclub is the place to be. With an entrance fee of 300 baht, you can have your fill of beers and other drinks. But even if these places don’t appeal to you, there are plenty of other Bangkok nightlife places you can explore.
- Siam Niramit
You can learn all about Thailand’s colorful and vibrant history by watching this stage production. You can watch it at the Ratchada Theatre, which lasts 90 minutes long. The show is divided into three acts, namely Journey Back into History, Journey Beyond Imagination: The Three Realms, and Journey Through Joyous Festivals. Siam Niramit doesn’t skimp out on quality. Not only will you be amazed by the performances but also by the costumes, set pieces, and stage design. So much so that you would feel like you were traveling back in time.
- Muay Thai Matches
For martial arts aficionados, head to Asiatique to learn all about the country’s style of martial arts: Muay Thai. The theater production is set in ancient Siam (Thailand’s former name) and follows the journey of one Muay Thai artist as he faces several challenges. By the end of the production, you also get to witness an actual match between two professionals. Wouldn’t that be an exciting way to end the night?
- Night Shopping
If you need some last minute shopping, then head to any of Bangkok’s night markets. You can find all sorts of colorful wares from equally colorful sellers. If you want to try some authentic Thai street food, head to the Rot Fai Market in Srinakarin. However, if you are also looking for some entertainment, you can stop by Asiatique. And for a unique shopping experience, visit the Chang Chui Plane Night Market. Its most notable landmark is the Airbus found at the center. But if you look around, you’ll find different products, including some unique art pieces. You never know what you may find in these night markets.
- Chao Praya River Night Cruises
The sights of the city at night are just as spectacular as during the day. You can prove this to yourself by going on a dinner cruise along the Chao Praya River. You pass by some of the city’s temples which look just as exquisite at night. What’s more is you get to enjoy a hearty meal while enjoying the view.
Any of these experiences would make you see Bangkok (and even Thai culture) in a new light.
